Approved if edited. This was an excellent program about sexual purity and standards in dating. There is an issue however at 8:22. Co-host Rick Mann is speaking of the time when he met his wife and makes a joke about meeting her while playing an on-line game called “World of Warcraft” This game is a sci-fi fantasy adventure game with wizards, demons, spells, black magic, and other half human creatures. To a Christian who is wrapped up in game playing this statement could afford excuse to continue in what is a growing problem among young adults, both in and out of the church. This portion should be edited out if possible for two reasons: 1.) Philippians 4:8 clearly sets forth the parameters of safe thinking for the Christian. This is where we get the principle “by beholding we become changed” also see 2 Corinthians 3:18 2.) Video gaming is an increasing addiction not only among teenagers but among young adults as well. In the pastoral dept we have been receiving more and more calls from wives whose husbands are glued to their x-box or playstation. -Please edit at 8:22 Last words on tape “…you and your wife share a lot of common interests?” -First words on tape after edit 8:29 “No, um, I actually met her at church…”
