This program PM090812 was recorded at Pioneer Memorial Church with Dwight Nelson in September 2012. It is a superb sermon on the immanency and the suddenness of Christ’s return. I believe it is more pertinent now than in 2012. I highly recommend this program if edited. The title of the 3 part series is “The Dark Night Rising.” This is taken from the Batman movie Dark Knight Rising. The background graphic is a picture of Batman with the title of the series and the Bible text and quotes are on this same background. This seem inappropriate to place the Bible or a Spirit of Prophecy quote next to a picture of Batman, a fictional character, that destroys evil in Gotham City. Young people would have no problem with the graphic but our older generation SDA would think it is a promotion of the occult and fantasy. If they would overlay the graphics with a new graphic without Batman, I would consider this appropriate and the message well worth hearing.
